Science For America Just Got Easier |
|
We've been working on some major improvements to the core operating system on the backend that will help our users have a smoother, more enjoyable experience. These updates allow users to easily navigate the members only features of the website, including posting to the forum , adding to the Edusketch wiki , and maintaining a calendar.
We will continue to perform improvements for our members by bringing an online chat system to the site which will allow users to talk real-time while visiting the site. It is our hope to bring together experienced teachers and newer teachers to share ideas and discuss the toolkits offered in the Teacher's Toolbox and science instruction strategies. The chat will be visible to all site visitors, but only registered members will be able to use the chat functions to communicate.
Finally, and probably the most significant update to the website on the horizon, is the ability to submit resources for immediate download to the site. We are hoping to streamline the process of sharing files for science teachers through a strong community of active submitters and bloggers, bringing together teachers across the U.S. and the world, to get the best resources in the hands of all science teachers.
Until these features arrive in Spring '07, feel free to take part in our forum and get the conversation going about topics you feel passionate about- strategies for physical science instruction , project-based learning , technology in the classroom , or anything else on your mind.
