I have found some of the best free science worksheets on the Internet. I've been using these for the past two years in my own physical science classroom. The pacing is excellent, the curriculum is well thought, and the mix of exercises and content make these resources well worth the visit. You can find these resources from Mr. Murray's website by clicking here.
I'm lucky to have my own science classroom. I know a number of fellow science teachers who "float." They have the unfortunate responsibility of dealing with all the other issues science teachers face, only without the benefit of having a classroom to call "home." This blog is the first of a two-part series addressing teaching science as a floater. Here you'll find insight from Daniel Konecky, a former Teach For America corpsmember who had to do just that. He's got some great advice.

Everyone gets those situations in life where an emergency has come up,

lesson plan in to school for your students. Maybe you have a family
emergency or a disrupted travel plan and you just cannot get into
school to leave detailed lessons.
