Attention Physical Science Teachers ! Check out these Worksheets

I have found some of the best free science worksheets on the Internet. I've been using these for the past two years in my own physical science classroom. The pacing is excellent, the curriculum is well thought, and the mix of exercises and content make these resources well worth the visit. You can find these resources from Mr. Murray's website by clicking here.

The best science worksheets blend new material with guided practice and independent practice. I've found these worksheets do an excellent job of helping me to keep the lesson cycle going. Students will spend 5 minutes taking in new science material, filling in notes which I've created from Murray's resources that have critical information missing. This way students do more listening and less writing.

Second, the students go to guided practice, where we will do one or two problems together. Finally, another five to ten minutes are spent with the students practicing independently or in small groups the material we just covered. It makes for quick-moving classes, especially when operating in a block schedule of 90-100 minutes.

The other compliment I have for these resources is Murray does an excellent job working in previous physical science material from previous classes. This review helps place core science content in the students' long term memories, making it more likely they'll recall it on an upcoming science test.

I don't usually blog about websites containing worksheets, but I have got to get the word out about these free science resources. Mr. Murray is an experienced science teacher at Grapevine High School in Grapevine, TX. The one request he does have is that if you use his resources, you email him at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
