The Science For America Developers are announcing addition of another Web 2.0 feature - article commenting! Now you can respond to the great content on our site, whether they be on free science worksheets, simple science experiements, science projects, or science articles. Our articles are written with the community in mind, and this feature will allow us to tailor our articles to what science teachers are interested in!

Thanks for all the interest in Science For America! Since we launched this site in July 2006, we've had over 4,700 new visitors! The new forum was created for you to collaborate and share exciting resources you've found for your classroom. All you need to do is create an account through registration, go to the forum, and start or continue a thread.

We are also working on developments for the site which will allow users to chat real-time with one another. This will allow the experienced science teachers to meet up with the newer ones, providing for development you can't find anywhere else on the web. Stay tuned for more!

With the current state of science education in America, it is evident that the current system is in dire need of reform. We believe this reform starts with strong leadership and stronger expectations- of the educators themselves and of the students they are teaching.

The National Science Teachers Association has addressed this issue many times in the past. Science For America's view is the same as NSTA's - that "science leaders must cultivate a leadership network consisting of principals, lead teachers, science department heads, and community leaders to implement science education reform at all levels of the school system."
